Rufous-chested Sparrowhawk

My latest lifer came as a bit of a surprise. Having spent many hours birding in the Clocolan area, my chances of finding a new lifer in the area is becoming increasingly difficult. Stefan spotted the bird hunting around a stand of exotic trees, and I did not want to get my hopes up, but my first glance at the bird gave me a decent rush of excitement. Locating the birds, as they seemed to be a breeding pair, was a bit trickier. As we did not want to disturb then too much we had to stalk through the copse of trees, stalking them quietly, but to our detriment into to rising sun. After a short while we managed to find one of them returning with something in its claws, but this one did not want to settle down. We then found the other one perched, and we could get some a decent view of it.
